EE Team forge new partnerships for business development

The EE Team explain the profiling process to community volunteersThe Economic Empowerment Team are beginning an exciting project in partnership with microfinance provider Kasagana Ka. Aware that people with disabilities are often hard for microfinance programs to reach, but that they could benefit enormously from access to financial services, Kasagana Ka and LCD Philippines Foundation have decided to use their combined expertise to make microloans available to PWDs who want to start or expand their own small businesses.

The pilot project will take place in Bagong Silang, where the LCDPF Inclusive Education Program has already been very successful and the EE Team will begin by profiling all of the working-age PWDs in the barangay with the help of local community leaders and partners.
